Don't try to be someone you're not

I think in this situation Alex is a fool. Alex thinks that he's the man just because he got a good education. Alex seems very confident in what he's doing and thinks that his life choices are only his and that they don't have and really bad affects on his life. Alex says he's living like this by choice, but this doesn't mean that he's living the right way. This correlates to my other blog and how he clearly wasn't prepared to go out into the wilderness by himself. Clearly he set himself up for failure in the beginning. That's why he died at the end.

Here it shows that Alex wasn't really prepared as much as he should've been for his adventure into the wild. Alex seemed like he didn't really need much to survive besides the basics. He didn't bring any emergency supplies which would've been smart. When going out into the wilderness or anywhere for traveling in general you should always be prepared for the worst. You should always pack a little extra just in case you run into some problems along your trip. Pack for the worst. Pack for the what if's. An example would be when you're traveling by plane: You always wanna pack a couple of extra outfits just in case something happens while you are at your trip. This saves you money if you do need those extra outfits eventually and also saves you the hassle of trying to find extra outfits last minute if you do need them.
